We consider our classes to be all levels (new and experienced), as full instruction and modifications are provided. Our instructors will encourage you to practice at your own pace and listen to your body. Everybody and every BODY is different, so listen to your body and always respect how you’re feeling at that time.
Our Class Descriptions
Restorative Yoga – Restorative Yoga offers a welcome rest among all the rush and “busy-ness” of life. This class helps the mind and body relax and restore, and is appropriate for those who want a softer, more nurturing practice. You will find this class slower-paced, well-supported, and most definitely relaxing. We recommend it for all levels (new and experienced), and also for those working with special concerns or injuries.
Yang Yoga – In the Yang Yoga classes, you will get a thorough introduction to physical yoga postures and deep breathing techniques. You will leave this class feeling longer, stronger, and more relaxed. With continued practice, you will develop muscular (and mental!) strength, stamina and flexibility.
Flow Yoga – Flow Yoga classes are known for their fluid movement and they are choreographed to smoothly transition from pose to pose. If you love to test your physical limits then flow yoga may be just the ticket! The instructor will always encourage you to practice at your own pace and listen to your body. Popular for their complementary playlist, these classes will leave you feeling energized and connected to your breath and body.
Chair Yoga – Chair Yoga is a wonderful practice of connecting breath and movement while sitting, or standing using a chair for support. This class is designed to help restore vitality, strength, and mobility while rejuvenating the body and mind. It is accessible for all bodies and modified to meet specific needs. This is a great class for the more mature yoga practitioner, as well as those with individual limitations and physical conditions.
Relaxing/Yin Yoga – This class is well-suited to those who want a slower-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. The emphasis is on building awareness of the breath and body; poses are practiced at a slower pace with attention to alignment and detail, and meditation and breathing techniques are often included as well. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and (hopefully) with less stress! This class is all levels (new and experienced) and is also good for those who are newer to yoga and/or working with special concerns or injuries.
Hot Yoga – This is a physical class of flowing postures, practiced in the heated studio. The heat allows tight muscles to stretch and release more readily than in cooler environments. If you enjoy the heat and a great sweat, our heated yoga classes may be a great class for you!
Heated Yin Yoga – Expect a simple, quiet practice – but not necessarily an easy practice! Our heated Yin Yoga class targets the connective tissues, ligaments, joints, bones and fascia networks of your body. The poses in this class are held approximately 3-5 minutes and are practiced mainly sitting/lying on the floor. Meditation and breathing techniques are often included as well. Our Yin Yoga classes will help enhance your other exercises methods… and your life!
Pilates-Fusion – Pilates-Fusion is a workout focusing on core strength, flexibility, and total body conditioning, fused together with a perfect mix of body-sculpting exercises. Including a mixture of standing and mat-based exercises, this is a low-impact workout that is great for everyone – all ages, shapes, sizes, and physical-activity levels!
Functional Fitness – Functional fitness classes train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks to help you live, age, and function at optimal levels. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, functional fitness exercises also emphasize core stability, balance, and coordination. These classes are joint-friendly, with no jumping or forceful movements.
